Very quick response time. Was contacted by Frankie the same day I put in a request through Angi. He came by that same day and fixed our dryer that had stopped drying. Total was $200 parts and labor.
About Appliance Techs Inc.
Meet Frankie Tovar, Your Chicago Appliance and HVAC Technician
A family trade passed down from father to son.
Now serving Chicago and the North Shore with honest appliance repair and HVAC repair.
Our Story
Sixteen Years of Hands-On HVAC and Appliance Repair Experience
Frankie grew up around HVAC technicians. His father worked the trade, and Frankie spent his childhood learning heating, cooling, troubleshooting, and hands-on repair work long before any of it became a job title. That hands-on foundation still guides how his team treats your home today, whether the job is in a Chicago bungalow or a lakefront house in Winnetka or Lake Forest.
That upbringing shaped a technician who understands residential HVAC repair and major appliance repair from the ground up, not from a training manual. Since founding Appliance Techs Inc. in 2010, Frankie has spent 16 years building a company around that same hands-on know-how, growing into a trusted name for residential appliance repair and commercial refrigeration repair across Chicago and the North Shore, including Evanston, Highland Park, and Wilmette.
Today, that experience covers everything from HVAC troubleshooting and heating system repair to washer and dryer repair on major brands like Whirlpool, Maytag, Frigidaire, LG, Samsung, and Viking. Whether it is a washing machine repair on the North Side or an HVAC change out ahead of a Lake Michigan cold snap, it is a family trade turned into a dependable local business.
Our Mission
Honest, Dependable Appliance and HVAC Repair Service
Our mission is simple: provide dependable, high-quality HVAC and appliance repair backed by years of hands-on experience and honest service. We want every homeowner who calls Appliance Techs Inc. to feel confident they have a technician they can trust in their home.
That means clear explanations during air conditioner troubleshooting, straight answers about whether a heating replacement or heating repair makes more sense, and pricing you understand before work begins. We treat every air conditioning repair, AC replacement, and heating system replacement the same way: with patience and plain language. Appliance troubleshooting should never feel like a mystery, and we work to keep it that way for every customer.
Whether it is a refrigerator repair on a Saturday afternoon or a full HVAC change out before a Chicago winter, we aim to keep your home comfortable and your systems running efficiently.
